Established in 1979 as “The Kart Ranch,” Fun-Plex has been a place of excitement for the entire family for more than 40 years. Soon after its opening, The Kart Ranch added a mini-golf course and pinball machines. With these additions, the park soon took on the name Fun-Plex. Since then, Fun-Plex has continually added new rides and attractions.

The park underwent its most ambitious expansion in 2018 when it added the Rockin’ Rapids. This new feature includes two tube slides, one of which is one of the biggest slides of its kind in America. This attraction, and other expansion projects, have transformed the park from its humble beginnings as a go-kart track to a state-of-the-art amusement and waterpark. That’s because, since its origins, Fun-Plex has remained dedicated to reinvesting in itself and making it the best possible amusement park.

Attractions

Waterpark

During the summer, visitors flock to Fun-Plex to cool down in Nebraska’s largest waterpark. The waterpark features several exciting attractions for those of all ages. The first attraction is the Motion Ocean Wave Pool, where visitors can grab a floatable then grab some rocking waves. If the wave pool is too much for you, try the Lazzzy River. Here, guests can chill on a tube as the river carries them away.

Additionally, there are two significant waterslides for those looking for more of a thrill. Typhoon Falls takes riders on some of the best turns and drops available. Plus, as previously mentioned, Rockin’ Rapids is one of the tallest and longest waterslides in the country, at more than five stories tall.

For young children and their families, Fun-Plex includes both an extensive splash pad, and a Kiddie Pool Area. These spots are great places for younger kids and their families to relax and have some age-appropriate fun.

Last but not least, Fun-Plex’s waterpark has something just for the adults. As your kids play in the splash pad or wait for their turn down a waterslide, mom and dad can enjoy an adult beverage at the Breakers Bay Swim-Up Bar.

Rides

If you’re not a waterpark person, Fun-Plex has plenty more to offer. Guests can race each other in either traditional go-karts or on the slick track, a specialty go-kart track. If you want something a little slower, you can crash into your friends and family in the park’s bumper cars or boats.

Finally, if you want a ride that’s a little more adventurous, you can hop in the Tilt-A-Whirl or Rock-O-Ride, which is like a Ferris Wheel on steroids! In addition to these more mature rides, there are five distinct rides geared more for younger children and families of all ages.

Mini Golf

Another of Fun-Plex’s main attractions is its 18-hole mini-golf course. Every guest receives access to the course for free, with their pass. Bring the whole family, and once-and-for-all see who is the most like Tiger Woods. Note, the first nine holes of the course are handicap accessible.

Game Galaxy Arcade

The final primary attraction of Fun-Plex is their Game Galaxy Arcade. After you’re done with the waterpark and rides, relax in the arcade and enjoy some food, fun, and free Wi-Fi! Visitors can play a variety of games, from classics like Skee-Ball and Pac-Man to newer arcade games.
